"AHAVA" is an educational and therapeutic center for children & youth at risk.
The Girls Project is a unique multidisciplinary teamwork that addresses girls, ages 6-18 in different levels of methods and contents.
The project focuses on therapy, education and empowerment in order to break the cycle of ignorance, abuse and poverty, & improve their capabilities to successfully integrate in society.
The project objective is to strengthen their self-esteem & self image, to assimilate knowledge and skills, and to their ability to cope with the challenges that face women & girls in the normative modern society.
The project includes: activities in 3 educational groups by age, special activities for all the girls together, therapeutic groups, mom & girls educational – therapeutic activities, mentoring group, sexuality groups etc.
The multidisciplinary team includes social worker, coordinator, 3 house mothers & 4 young volunteers, all women, who initiate, develop and activate the project.
