Brazil is a country with a fragile history of social protection and a high level of inequality. A common view of social inequality in developing countries is the history of absences in the life of a portion of the youth, who are vulnerable to the commission of illegal acts. State investment in public policies for youth is essential to change this scenario. However, the reform process of the Brazilian Penal Code rekindled the discussion about reducing the age of criminal responsibility as a way of coping with violence. As the young people who commit illegal acts is the same young people who are victim of urban violence. Since 2011, this social project performs, with a multidisciplinary team, educational actions that lead young people to reflect about beliefs, attitudes, their values and social values that lead to the commission of illegal acts.
